UT Science and Engineering Building
This nine story complex was constructed in mid-campus with zero lot lines, housing up to one hundred specially constructed and environmentally controlled laboratories, class rooms and a theater.
This cast in place concrete structure rests on caissons up to 150' deep that are electronically monitored, as is the structure, so even the building is a giant testing lab to monitor actual load stresses and settlement over time. This facility was built to blend with the surrounding campus architecture.
